Mother and Daugher at Window

A few months ago I ran into Juliana and her daughter after church. I noticed how nicely their outfits coordinated and thought, “Wouldn’t it be great to do an impromptu photo shoot?” Fortunately they agreed, so we found an empty classroom with a couple windows and turned it into a temporary studio.

Juliana and Savannah did a great job posing. I placed them at a 45 degree angle toward the windows and asked her husband Wes to steady a black backdrop behind them. As I was clicking away Savannah started pointing at something outside of the window.  Her extended finger added a lot of interest to the photo and makes one wonder what she saw.

The natural light coming through the windows softly illuminated the pair and provided an excellent catchlight in Juliana’s left eye.
